The Collective partnered with Arcadis to renovate the Toronto office of HH Angus, a leading engineering, project management, and technical consulting firm. The buildout involved installing 665 linear feet of Teknion demountable walls across two floors, with installation conducted in two seamless phases to maintain schedule continuity and reduce disruption. A combination of Teknion TekVue, Altos Solid, and Focus Dual Glazed systems was selected to meet diverse functional and aesthetic needs. Product selection was influenced by acoustic requirements, design intent, and the ability to custom color match paint finishes.

In addition to the wall systems, The Collective furnished a complete set of workplace solutions tailored to HH Angus’ evolving needs. A large conference room was outfitted with Jima chairs and a C+D table to support executive-level meetings. All small and medium meeting rooms were furnished with coordinated tables and chairs to promote collaboration and comfort. The space also includes personal lockers for all employees, along with workstation and private office storage solutions to enhance daily organization and usability.

Collaboration between The Collective, Arcadis, and Govan Brown was essential to delivering the project successfully. Arcadis provided detailed product specifications and ensured design intent was clear, while Govan Brown coordinated closely with trades to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion. A key challenge arose when a software oversight led to insufficient ceiling track being ordered for the custom color-matched product. To keep the project on schedule, an expedited order was placed with the manufacturer, and existing ceiling track inventory was custom-painted locally in a near-matching finish to serve as a temporary solution. This strategy allowed critical milestones to be met without delay. Once the correct materials arrived, affected areas were carefully uninstalled and reinstalled, achieving the intended finish and quality.
