Sk Hynix
SK Hynix, a global leader in semiconductor technology, sought to revitalize its U.S. headquarters. This comprehensive project aimed to create an environment that fostered collaboration, comfort, and efficiency. The design needed to support both concentrated work and collaborative efforts and impress both staff and visitors with a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Partnering with Devcon as the Design/Build Architect and General Contractor along with several other key vendors, the project involved the procurement of furniture for 360 workstations, 16 private offices, and numerous specialized spaces including 20 conference rooms, a large boardroom, and vibrant communal areas like break rooms and an outdoor area. The design emphasized spaciousness and warmth, integrating diverse textures and greenery to create a homely yet professional environment.
The project featured custom furniture solutions tailored to SK Hynix’s specific needs. Notably, a unique high end custom boardroom table crafted by Northwood featured beautiful custom edge details along with sculptural wood veneer bases, integrating seamlessly with the room's sophisticated aesthetic. In the conference rooms, Teknion developed custom bases to conceal floor power setups, combining functionality with sleek design.
The project achieved LEED certification, reflecting SK Hynix’s commitment to sustainability and efficient use of resources. This project exemplifies how thoughtful design and meticulous planning can transform a workspace to meet evolving business needs and employee expectations. SK Hynix’s U.S. headquarters now stands as a testament to the company's forward-thinking culture and commitment to excellence.
