Fish and Richardson
The Collective was tasked with furnishing a full build-out for law firm Fish and Richardson (F&R) in Redwood City, a bustling suburban downtown in Silicon Valley California. The Collective worked alongside a project management firm, architecture firm, and general contractor to furnish F&R’s new office within budget and on schedule.
F&R created the Edison bulb and wanted to ensure that this fixture was represented throughout the buildout, while maintain a professional aesthetic appropriate for a law firm.
The project architect drew inspiration from the logging and railroad history in Redwood City to provide interesting moments throughout the space, including a wall with a railroad car with an outdoor eating area overlooking downtown. A local library provided imagery circa-1800’s that was applied to vinyl and installed “behind” the windows.
The Collective provided all the furniture for the client including Teknion workstations, offices, conference rooms, ancillary, café and lounge furniture. To save budget, custom and highly cost-effective millwork was applied to the copy rooms.
