The Collective worked alongside As-Is Studio and the client to create a dynamic workspace for iRhythm Technologies.

iRhythm’s headquarters, with both office and lab space, is located between two floors of a multi-tenant atrium building in the SOMA district of San Francisco.

An important aspect of the design and furniture was allowing for a multi-floor office to feel like one space and connected. Key features were emphasized, such as natural light and biophilia as well as open/collaborative lounge spaces for socialization and different work types. The atrium that connects all the floors is a large skylight with lounge spaces and integrated planters/plants along the perimeter.

Color and texture were key for the furniture design. Each quadrant of the two floors was designated in a base color to help with the directional location in the space and branding. Teknion Cityline height adjustable workstations were decorated with bright, colorful accent colors that matched iRhythm's branding. The Collective also worked closely with a local manufacturer to create custom conference room tables with various colorful finishes. A variety of single and dual phone booths from Silen are in colorful finishes.

The café is a large open space where the entire company can gather to meet and enjoy time together. It includes custom planter/seating units and long “family style” seating.

Custom-crafted banquettes nestle between alcoves for workers to relax, eat, and meet. The Collective contracted with local millwork companies to create custom cabinetry, benching, and tables. Bright colors and custom finishes pop throughout the playful space.
