The Collective worked alongside IBI Group and DPI Construction Management to furnish this Canadian healthcare client's four-floor phased project in Markham. The primary objective of this project is to refresh the classic and timeless head office space. Drawing inspiration from iconic mid-century modern design, the project aimed to create a space that exuded quality in look, performance, and functionality.

The installation was meticulously executed in four phases, ensuring a seamless transformation of the workspace. The resulting design not only reflects the client's corporate identity but also aligns with their goals and objectives to modernize and refresh the new head office. The project solution includes well-designed, quality products that offer flexibility to assist the client in responding to future workplace changes.

The Collective procured and supplied furniture for 287 workstations comprised of Teknion’s Cityline desking and hiSpace height adjustable tables. The workstation demonstrates fundamental ergonomic principles fostering optimal engagement and performance while promoting the health and well-being of employees in their daily work routines. The workstation textiles were carefully selected to align with the design aesthetic of each floor, while the incorporation of natural wood elements and dark accents harmoniously brought all the spaces together.

Furthermore, various areas throughout the office were thoughtfully furnished, including boardrooms, informal meeting rooms, reception lounge areas, breakout spaces, a servery, and collaboration areas.

Acoustic Teknion architectural walls consisting of Tek Vue were installed on all private offices and meeting rooms including “quiet rooms”, boardrooms, and collab spaces across all the floors. This integrated wall system seamlessly blends with the surrounding products, creating a harmonious and cohesive aesthetic throughout the entire floorplate.

The Collective curated a diverse selection of renowned brands, including Teknion, Studio TK, Spec, Keilhauer, Allseating, Allermuir, and Global. Each floor of the headquarters boasts its own unique color palette, meticulously chosen by the design team to create distinct visual identities. The overall interior environment was purposefully designed to instill a sense of warmth and pride among employees, making them feel truly welcomed and connected to their workplace.
