The Collective worked alongside In Studio to furnish Canaccord Genuity Corp’s (“Canaccord”) new office in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District at the Bay-Adelaide Centre North Tower. The ‘AAA’ Class, LEED Platinum certified building rises 32 stories high, featuring two levels of mechanical penthouse atop a nine-story podium. Towering 139 meters above grade, it is a prominent fixture in the downtown skyline.

Canaccord embarked on a workplace transformation project to modernize its relocated work environment while seizing the opportunity to expand and revamp its brand image. The team aimed to craft a workspace that not only represents its brand and culture but also resonates with its customer base and conveys confidence in its financial management expertise.

The workspace, installed seamlessly in one phase, comprises 64 trading desks, 303 Teknion workstations, 64 Nienkamper private offices, and 20 collaboration and meeting areas. The Collective has curated a diverse selection of ancillary furniture from reputable brands such as Teknion, Studio TK, Krug, Nucraft, Halcon, Svend Nielsen, and Keilhauer. Additionally, custom solutions have been implemented across client-facing zones, featuring bespoke meeting tables and lounge café areas.

The result was an impressive, professionally crafted space that sets new workplace standards for their North American operations. It exudes an open, elegant, and high-end business ambiance. The design seamlessly integrates technology and ergonomic features, culminating in a flexible and user-friendly environment.
