The Collective worked alongside architecture firm HOK and general contractor Brocollini to create a private radiology clinic for Institute for Specialized Medicine and Intervention (ISMI) owned by Dr. Khashy. We were thrilled to work on this project that addressed an underserved type of medicine in the public healthcare system.

Institute for Specialized Medicine and Intervention Teknion Walls Institute for Specialized Medicine and Intervention Patient Room

An IIDA 2022 Healthcare Design Awards winner! The Collective procured and supplied furniture for four offices, four exam rooms, reception, waiting area, staff lounge, and decompression lounge (patient centered). Teknion architectural walls, examination room guest chairs and casework were used throughout the space to accommodate both ISMI staff and patients.

Institute for Specialized Medicine and Intervention Lounge

The Collective procured a mix of brands including Teknion, Allseating, Studio TK, Blu Dot, Allermuir, DWR, HAG, Lacasse, Suite 22, Keilhauer, and Neocase. Fabrics and furniture were respecified to accommodate new needs and requirements driven by the pandemic. The modular millwork was specified to the inch for the exam rooms by Neocase to create a customized solution for the client.

The finished radiology clinic has a modern spa-like environment with biophilic elements and warm tones to embrace the patients, which was designed to help promote healing and created a sense of calm.
